Able to tilt inwards to let in a subtle, secure breeze or to be turned open for an exit, our wooden French doors are an elegant addition to any balcony or terrace. A comfortable interior climate is created thanks to versatile ventilation and much light can stream in through the large, glazed surfaces encased by slim frames. Alongside their excellent function, the doors can become a stylish centrepiece with our various timber types, quality RAL colour finishes, varnishes, and glazing bar add-ons. The Key Benefits
- Natural sturdiness: Thanks to its dense structure, timber provides excellent stability and means our doors are very impact resistant.
- Bespoke design: With different timber types available, our doors add warmth to interiors and boast unique grain patterns and textures.
- Effective soundproofing: Due to its natural thickness, wood is good at slowing the travel of sound waves, which makes for a very peaceful interior.
Our windows and doors feature much more than just a solid frame, sash, and glass. Inside each of these elements, high-quality German engineering and special parts are used to achieve innovative performance:
At Neuffer we offer a range of window models, also known as “profiles”, that differ in terms of their look, installation depth, and thermal performance. When it comes to insulation, this is measured by the u-value and the lower the figure, the less heat will be transferred and the more energy-efficient the profile will be. Browse the options below:
IV 68
With its offset design and double glazing, this model provides good insulation and brings a contemporary look. The interior and exterior edges can come in a more angular or beveled shape.
IV 78
Available with triple glazing and featuring an offset design, this profile ensures very good thermal performance and can come with angular or beveled interior and exterior edges.
IV 92
Able to achieve the lowest u-values of the range, this profile comes with triple glazing, an offset design, and the choice of angular or beveled interior and exterior edges.

Enhance Our French Doors to Suit Your Requirements
At Neuffer we recognise that our clients prioritize different product characteristics. To supply tailored solutions that fulfil this, we therefore offer custom French door glazing, sashes, and openings. For customers after large dimensions and flexible operation, for example, French doors with multiple connected sashes can be selected.
A double door with two sashes can ensure a wide, structurally stable front, for instance, where the panels can be fixed, swing open, or additionally tilt as desired. For customers who are installing wood doors on the ground floor and wish to maximise security this can also be made possible by adapting design. During manufacturing, for example, the wood door glazing can be tempered or laminated. Here the glass becomes more flexible, impact-resistant and harder to break.
Invisible PVB foil interlayers are added between the panes, which further strengthens the structure and means that if the glazing is broken under very high force, it won’t shatter out and will rather be held on the intact film that then requires specialist tools to tear. Although wood provides good natural soundproofing thanks to its density, noise reduction can also be altered in a similar way. This can be important for properties located close to busy streets or airports, for example. To achieve a particularly peaceful interior regardless of where the building is located, special asymmetrically thick panes are used that slow sound waves moving through the panel.
This can reduce noise by up to 38 dB, which, at a maximum, is ideal for properties located 300 m from a motorway with approximately 5000 vehicles passing each hour. To further increase soundproofing, an invisible, modern "silence foil" can then be added between panes. In this case noise can be reduced by 45 dB, recommended for locations close to train tracks and airports.
