Our uPVC tilt and slide doors feature high quality construction, energy efficiency and ergonomic design. They may appear similar to standard sliding doors, but instead offer the functionality of tilt and turn windows and an improved sliding mechanism. This allows them to both slide as well as tilt inwards for ventilation. Custom built to whatever size your project calls for, each comes equipped with heavy duty German made fittings and is a breeze to open. Whether replacement or new construction, uPVC represents great value for your money and Neuffer's custom solutions can meet any project's needs.

Neuffer offers a range of uPVC frames as a base for your sliding door, each with a unique set of insulation, security and aesthetic features. The Ideal series represents a good overall balance of features while the Energeto series focuses on maximising energy efficiency and achieving the best U-values.

Colours & Finishes

White uPVC is a thing of the past. With the entire RAL colour range to choose from including special decors, you have a variety of options to match any facade and interior.

While it cannot be painted directly like timber, decorative and colour foils which can mimic woodgrain or aluminium are applied directly at the factory during the manufacturing process. This not only gives you even more options, but has the added benefit of further protecting the exterior frame from weather wear and minor scratches. Finally, you have the choice of dual colours, one for the inside and one for the outside.

Accessibility, Security and Insulation

Barrier-free

Low threshold or barrier-free flush thresholds are also available whether to assist the elderly, prevent children from tripping or to just make life a little easier. Barrier-free tilt and slide doors are produced in accordance with ISO regulations and are yet another advantage to this particular door type. Renovation projects in particular are a good opportunity to future-proof your home.

Strength & Security

Large glass surfaces can be a tempting target for intruders. This is why Neuffer offers high security doors with a multitude of security options. Ground level doors should be toughened and fitted with some or all of the following options.

  • Multipoint locking
  • Locking handles with key
  • Push button locking handles
  • Shootbolts
  • Concealed hinges
  • Laminated and impact resistant safety glass

Laminated safety glass should be installed on the outermost pane at least in order to provide an added layer of security and make breaking the glass difficult. It is typically found in vehicle windshields, storm windows and other areas requiring impact resistance and produces no dangerous shards when broken. For ground level doors, laminated safety glass should be installed on the outer pane at a minimum.

For ground level doors, laminated safety glass should be installed at least on the outer pane.

In addition, the multi-chamber profiles of uPVC frames are extremely difficult to pierce or break apart. Roller shutters are another option which can be installed and offer the benefits of improving security, insulation and privacy simultaneously.

U-values & Thermal Performance

With glass comprising most of the overall door surface, it is important to choose the appropriate glazing to meet your insulation needs and goals. We offer both double and triple glazing options, warm edge spacers and optional argon gas filled spaces between panes. The distances between panes can also be adjusted to provide larger gaps capable of better insulation.
